Post Malone will headline Strummingbird on the Sunshine Coast in 2026, with a Brisbane stadium show also locked in for the same Australian tour run.

Update: Post Malone has also announced a Brisbane show at Suncorp Stadium on October 12, ahead of his Sunshine Coast appearance at Strummingbird on October 18.

Strummingbird has dropped its 2026 lineup, with Post Malone leading the bill for the festival’s Sunshine Coast stop in October.

The festival will head to three locations in 2026, with shows planned for Ballarat on October 10, Newcastle on October 17 and the Sunshine Coast on October 18.

The Sunshine Coast date will bring one of the biggest names in modern music to the region, with Post Malone sitting at the top of a bill that moves through country, Americana, roots, pop and festival-friendly live music.

Also on the lineup are Bailey Zimmerman, Cooper Alan, Stella Lefty, Dexter and The Moonrocks, Brad Cox, CAM, Cigarettes @ Sunset, Kaitlin Butts, Noah Rinker, Sons of the East, Briana Dinsdale, Mack Geiger, Max Jackson, Sara Berki, Late Night Riot with Willie Pake and Sammy White.

The festival will also include line dancing with Maddison Glover and more.

Sunshine Coast date

Strummingbird Sunshine Coast will take place at Kawana Sports Precinct in Bokarina on October 18, following the Ballarat and Newcastle editions earlier in the month.

The Sunshine Coast event puts the region on the national festival map again, with a major touring lineup landing in Queensland during spring.

Brisbane stadium show

Post Malone will also play Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane on October 12 as part of his BIG ASS World Tour, with Don Toliver joining as special guest.

The Brisbane date lands less than a week before his Sunshine Coast festival appearance, giving Queensland fans two ways to catch him in October.

Ticket information

Strummingbird Sunshine Coast tickets are on sale now via Moshtix, subject to availability.

Tickets for Post Malone’s Brisbane stadium show go on general sale on Thursday, May 28, with presale access opening earlier in the week.

Fans are being directed to Moshtix, Live Nation and the official Strummingbird channels for current ticket availability and event updates.

A major country-pop drawcard for the Coast

Post Malone’s headline slot follows his move deeper into country music, with the artist now sitting between global pop stardom, Americana crossover and big open-air festival energy.

The announcement follows Strummingbird’s 2025 Sunshine Coast edition, which featured Jelly Roll and Shaboozey among its major drawcards.

For the Sunshine Coast, the announcement adds another major touring event to the region’s growing live music calendar.

The 2026 edition also gives local country, roots and festival fans a rare chance to catch a lineup of international and Australian acts in one hit, without needing to head interstate.
