Held in Queensland’s Simpson Desert near Birdsville, Big Red Bash is one of the state’s most distinctive music events, combining outback camping with major Australian artists in an iconic remote setting.

First held in 1982, Gympie Music Muster is one of Australia’s most iconic country music festivals, held in Amamoor State Forest near Gympie.

Held in Mareeba, Savannah in the Round is a large-scale regional festival combining camping with a lineup that spans country, rock and Australian favourites.

Held in Airlie Beach, Airlie Beach Festival of Music is a multi-day live music event that spreads across waterfront venues, bars and its main festival tent.

Held in Townsville, the Australian Festival of Chamber Music is one of Queensland’s best-known classical music events, bringing leading musicians together across a multi-day program.

Held near Rossville in Far North Queensland, Wallaby Creek Festival is a three-day music and arts campout set among the wet tropics rainforest south of Cooktown.
February 19–21
Held in Agnes Water, the Agnes Blues, Roots & Rock Festival is a regional live music weekend built around blues, roots and rock in a relaxed coastal setting.
May 19–25
Festival of Outback Opera brings live opera, music and large-scale performance into western Queensland settings, with events across Winton and Longreach.
