The Terrys will take their all-ages regional show to Norton Music Factory next weekend after a last-minute venue change.
The Merrigong surf-rock lads were due to play at The Station in Birtinya on Saturday, but the venue closed suddenly last week, leaving a string of shows scrambling for a new home.
The whirlwind chaos has brought an air of excitement and renewed hope for the region’s ailing music industry, with The Station owner Chris Hignett saying his venue closed due to low ticket sales.
Norton‘s has long been one of the Coast’s most reliable supporters of local music culture, with locals regularly on the lineup, and a big community of regular punters.
Aussie legends The Beefs, who played at the last Big Weekend festival in Coolum, will support.
Ticket-holders don’t need to do anything — all existing tickets remain valid for the new Caloundra location.
There’s something about a gig saved in the final hour that gives it a little more grit, a little more love, and a lot more noise.
Please note an earlier version of this story published by Yelo reported that The Terrys were playing at Blackflag Brewing in Coolum, which was correct at the time, but the venue has since changed.
The Terrys will now play Norton Music Factory this Saturday. Doors from 6pm.
