Transvision Vamp is coming to the Sunshine Coast in 2026

September 18, 20252 min read

Tickets to see Transvision Vamp at The Station on the Sunshine Coast on February 14 and The Triffid in Brisbane on February 11-12 HERE.

You’d better get your shoulder pads out and dancing shoes on, ladies!

British 80s pop-rock band Transvision Vamp – known for their mega-hit “Baby I Don’t Care” – will be in Australia for the first time in almost three decades next year.

Headlining cities across the country in February, the group will be playing all their nostalgia-filled favourites you know and love.

Front-woman Wendy James, who went on to pursue a successful solo career, was a feminist symbol in the 80s for her unapologetic self-expression and fearless leadership.

”I am so excited to be coming back to Australia to play the songs which started my whole musical journey!” Wendy says.

“I remember vividly so many moments across Australia, moments of enormous success, enormous love and enormous fun. I’m bringing with me a set full of music that will thrill and musicians who will amaze!”

Transvision Vamp will be playing all their iconic tracks including “I Want Your Love” and “The Only One” to venues in Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Newcastle, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.

Joining Wendy on an unmissable tour is Alex Ward (The Thurston Moore Group) on Guitar, Dave Parsons (Transvision Vamp) on Bass, and James Sclavunos (Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds) on Drums.
