What’s on this week on the Sunshine Coast

September 7, 20253 min read

The Sunshine Coast has a thriving live music and nighttime scene, boasting one of the highest populations of musicians per capita in Australia. From Caloundra to Noosa, each township comes alive every week with a huge variety of musical offerings. The Station in Birtinya brings regular major touring acts to the Coast, while Solbar offers unrelenting support to emerging bands, which spill from the venue nightly. Coolum continues to pump in alley-way cocktail bars, while Nambour’s underground music scene grows as one of the biggest ‘heavy hubs’ in regional Australia.

Check out what’s on in the local music and entertainment scene this week:

Featured Gig: Sunami (USA) @ Black Box Theatre

What: Sunami (USA), Outta Pocket (USA), Feel The Pain (NSW), TwoSeventy (SC)

Where: Black Box Theatre, 80 Howard St, Nambour

When: Tuesday, September 9

If you didn’t already know, Nambour is going off right now in the heavy local music scene, with sell-out gigs from international bands selling out most weekends. This week, Sunami (USA) and their friends Outta Pocket (USA) will play at the Sunshine Coast’s very own live music capital on Tuesday (September 9). The bands is only doing six shows in Australia – go Nambour! Sunami and Outta Pocket will be supported by local legends Feel The Pain (NSW) and the Coast’s TwoSeventy.

This is an all-ages, drug and alcohol free event. These shows are expected to sell out as no extra dates are being added. The venue recommends bringing ear protect for infants.

Tickets to Sunami and Outta Pocket at Black Box Theatre: here.
