Which Sunshine Coast gigs have been cancelled for Cyclone Alfred?

Sunshine Coast live music venues are cancelling several shows this weekend ahead of Cyclone Alfred.

The Category 2 cyclone is expected to cross the South-East Queensland mainland on Thursday.

Solbar announced on Wednesday it will remain open for tonight’s open mic night, but will close on Thurday.

The Maroochydore venue’s weekend shows for Daily J and Great Gable have been postponed.

Kings Beach Tavern has cancelled its Drain gig for Thursday night, while Friday’s Ruby Fields show is now scheduled for March 28.

The Caloundra venue’s Teenage Dads gig on Saturday is also cancelled, while their We Can’t Stop DJ Party will be rescheduled to April 11.

Norton Music Factory has cancelled Saturday’s Stefan Hauk show.

The Presynct at Nambour, will postpone its Karl S. Williams show to March 13.

Friday’s Zuko gig and Sunday’s Boiling Hot Politician show at Black Box Theatre have also been cancelled, with the venue to close for the weekend.

Saturday’s Brad Cox show at The Station is cancelled.

Dreams at The J in Noosa and Neil Murray at Imperial Hotel are both cancelled.

Raw Ordio and Christian Patey‘s Big Vibes gig at The Station last Sunday was also postponed due to bad weather.

Other cancelled shows include Green Day tonight on the Gold Coast and New Bloom Fest on Saturday in Brisbane.
