What started as a series of weekly shows at a tiny Melbourne bar has blossomed into one of Australia’s most beloved festivals. Across a decade, Laneway Festival has become a staple of essential music festival fun. The event continues to showcase its original set of values which champions community, fosters collaboration, and encourages self-expression. In 2026 we’ll see Alex G, Chappell Roan and Role Model. Last year, Charlie XCX, Beabadoobee, and Clairo headline.

A new era of Sunshine Coast festivals is about to dawn with SUNNY SIDE UP coming to Aussie World’s Banana Bender Pub this Easter Saturday. Aussie EDM heavyweights Golden Features, Sneaky Soundsystem and Mashd N Kutcher are all set to perform.
A never-before-used corner of the park will be transformed into a high-energy, immersive playground of sound, colour and movement.

Globally renowned Australian rockers Ocean Alley will be hitting Sunshine Coast Stadium as part of their biggest Aussie tour to date in celebration of their latest album, Love Balloon. This all-ages Australian country music festival will host around 28 artists next year, over three stages, and with 16 international and 12 Australian artists.
It’s been 18 years since its inception, with CMC Rocks bringing huge international acts such as Morgan Wallen, Luke Combs and Taylor Swift.

Since its inception in 1990, Each Easter long-weekends have seen some of the world’s biggest names here. Bob Dylan, Hozier, Paul Simon, Angus & Julia Stone, Robert Plant, John Mayer, Jurassic 5, James Brown, David Gray, John Legend, andBB King, have all played at the iconic Bluesfest.
Last year, Crowded House headlined the 36th and “final Bluesfest“. This year it’s back (surprise, surprise!) and it’s SPLIT ENZ headlining.

Blues on Broadbeach brings The Teskey Brothers, Judith Hill and Ash Grunwald to Broadbeach in 2026. The event has previously attracted major acts such as Fat Freddy’s Drop, Tijuana Cartel, BOOMCHILD and Melissa Etheridge. But also blues music communities and enthusiasts from across Australia. Last year around 36 artists performed each day.

Rock ’n’ roll, swing, rockabilly, tribute acts, retro music stages and vintage entertainment celebrating the sounds and culture of yesteryear. While it’s free to attend the main festival and outdoor music entertainment, there will be some paid experiences including the Elvis Marquee shows and VIP Legends Pass.

The first Gympie Music Muster was held in 1982 as a celebration of the Golden Guitar win by the Webb Brothers. It has since grown into one of Australia’s most-recognised fundraising events, returning more than $20 million to community groups and charities.
Owned by the Apex Club of Gympie, the Muster has seen more than 2500 performances, including Australian country royalty Slim Dusty, who has a camping area named in his honour.
The last Muster saw its highest-ever attendance, with 50,000 people recorded.

BIGSOUND is the southern hemisphere’s biggest music industry gathering with 150 artists across three nights of entertainment. The future of music is discovered here, with the festival giving some of the biggest names in Australian music their start, including; Flume, Rufus du Sol, Gang of Youths, Lime Cordiale, Tash Sultana, Tones and I, and more. The Coondoo Mountain Campout Spring Festival is a two-night boutique BYO music festival under spring skies in the northern Sunshine Coast region. The curated program features world-class touring acts and local favourites, performing beneath the backdrop of the stunning Mount Coondoo.
This years line-up includes Ukulele Death Squad (back by popular demand), Kooii, Kingfisha, Belly Savalas (Melb), Lemonise (Syd), Jam & Scones, The Barleyshakes (back by popular demand), JC & The Tree, Tommy Sexton & The Suggestions, and the Matt Whitney Trio. The Kid’s Space and Workshop Tent spaces have a chocked program of interactive activities. The festival grounds are situated on a pristine flat grassy area with a leave-no-trace ethos.

Zen Fest is a three-day event which celebrates the wonders of creative expression through music, dance, yoga, bodywork and meditation, in a sublime camp-out in the stunning Noosa Hinterland. Hosted by Island Vibe Festival and the ZenThai Shiatsu community, Zen Fest this year saw these artists and workshop facilitators: Murray Kyle, Mohilaa, Mr Percival, Gwyn Williams, Nuraini, The Rejuvinators, Liquid Lyrics, Stef Palmer, Merryn Penington, and Linda Lou.

Hosted on a private 100-acre property the in Noosa hinterland’s Mary Valley, the Mitchell Creek Rock ‘N’ Blues Fest is an adventure-filled, three-day festival of rock blues and roots music. With free camping, two alternating stages, and more than 120 artists, this festival is popular with families and those wanting to escape the city rush.

Groundwater Country Music Festival (CMF) gathers some of the best country artists in the Australian country music industry over three days on the Gold Coast. And it’s free! After a massive 10-year celebration in 2023, the event only continues to get bigger and better. In 2025 we saw 37 massic acts including Amy Sheppard, Brad Cox and Sons of Atticus.

The Big Pineapple Festival is the Sunshine Coast’s juciest event of the year, putting the spotlight on the country’s best artists and is major tourism drawcard for the region. The iconic festival – which brought Hilltop Hoods, The Cat Empire and Jungle Giants to Woombye in 2025 – celebrates all things Australian. There’s a famed fancy-dress competition and the inaugural Great Australian Pineapple Toss.

The Maleny Music Festival is an all-ages, three-day music event offering camping, workshops, markets, open mics, bush poetry, and jam sessions. The family-friendly, community festival is run by volunteers and specialises in folk, blues, jazz, traditional Irish, and rock music, with some bush poetry, comedy, yoga, and musical workshops thrown in for good measure.

Island Vibe Festival is a three-day music and arts campout, and this year it makes the move from the beloved Minjerribah to a gorgeous new site at Hangar O, Gunalda, just north of Gympie.
Back for its 19th chapter, expect a super friendly, intimate vibe, and creative workshops, music industry forums, a poet’s breakfast, and open mics. Theres’s also jamming sessions, a kids music space, Djs by the pool and cosy dance floors.

Just over the border, Rolling Sets has cemented itself as a summer staple, selling out every edition since launching.
This year, indie darlings Spacey Jane will headline the festival with electro-funk outfit Parcels and festival faves The Jungle Giants. Also on the stacked lineup are punk-psych icons Skegss and rising US alt-rockers Flipturn (USA). They’re joined by one of the country’s most explosive hardcore acts Speed, alt-pop powerhouse MAY-A, The Terrys, DICE, Blusher, 3%, Scowl (USA) and so many more.

Australia’s largest travelling music festival, Good Things has announced a head-spinning lineup for 2025 including: TOOL, Weezer, Garbage, Machine Head and James Reyne.

There will be no crying over Spilt Milk this year with a massive lineup announced for December following last year’s hiatus. US rappers Kendrick Lamar and Doechii (pictured) will headline this year’s festival.
Also featured on the lineup are Sara Landry, Dominic Fike, D4vd, Nessa Barrett, Skin On Skin, Sombr and Rebecca Black, and homegrown acts including The Dreggs.

Woodford Folk Festival has unveiled an epic all-star First Nations lineup with Barkaa, Briggs, Budjerah, Electric Fields, and Birdz and Fred Leone, all set to perform at the 2025-2026 event. More big name Aussie acts include Hollow Coves, Beddy Rays, Dobby, Sarah Blasko, San Cisco and Katie Noonan.
The six-night annual music and cultural festival is held near the semi-rural town of Woodford, a 40 minute drive from both Brisbane and Sunshine Coast. One of the biggest of its type in Australia, Woodfordia attracts approx. 125,000 patrons every year. Camping options range from around $40 per day.
