Sunshine Coast Council has teamed up with new podcast, Live & Local, for a musical showcase at Venue 114.
The all-ages gig will see 12 musicians showcase their talent for $12 on September 14.
Mayah, Jack Raymond, Favourite Kid, Total Radio Silence, Wave Raiders, Drew Wilson, 8 Ball Aitken (pictured), and Sailing in Space are some of the big names.
Nyssa Ray, VidaPhunk, Shanleigh Rose and Cole Finley will also perform as part of the nine-hour event.
An opportunity for community support at Venue 114
Nambour Councillor David Law says Live & Local – Twelve 4 Twelve is an opportunity for the community to support the local music industry.
“Music has a way of bringing people together and I urge you to buy tickets early and support
these kinds of local music events that engage and connect our community,” Cr Law says.
“At a time when major music events across Australia are suffering, Council recognises that affordable local events are important for our community.”
The showcase kicks off at 1pm and finishes at 10pm.
There will be food trucks and drinks available to purchase.
All proceeds will benefit The Stensholm Foundation, a local not-for-profit community organisation providing support services and a safe haven for young people.
