For more than two decades, Solbar gave Maroochydore a clear live music centre. Its closure changed the map, but it did not remove the suburb’s role as one of the Coast’s busiest after-dark areas.

Its closure removed the Coast’s best known original music room from the map. The archive still matters, and the next version of central Coast nightlife is now being built across several smaller spaces.

Do not stop at one postcode.
A Maroochydore night can easily extend into Mooloolaba, Alexandra Headland, Warana or Bokarina. The central circuit makes more sense when those areas are treated as one connected map.
